I surveyed 4 leading electric toothbrushes to understand key pain points and identify where our product can win. I identified there is a clear gap in the travel space: every major toothbrush requires the user to bring a separate charging assembly when traveling that accumulates grime and is easily forgotten.
Through my ideation, I sketched a wide range of brush heads, body designs, button placements, and forms. The goal was to build an understanding of the form of a toothbrush first before delving into the details that align it with the Carl Friedrik brand.
A fully resolved CAD model and rendered product concept equipped with interchangeable brush heads, multiple brushing modes, a USB-C powered case ensuring you only need one cord when traveling, and a thicker brush body for a more elevated user experience.
